# Bend Park Expands Live Production Capabilities with Advanced Broadcast Infrastructure Installation Bend Park, the home stadium of the Oregon Red Wolves NFL team, has announced a substantial upgrade to its broadcast infrastructure. This project, which includes cutting-edge technology from Avid and Sony, is expected to significantly enhance the live production quality for both on-field events and remote broadcasts. ## High-End Solutions Drive Enhanced Broadcast Quality "We are thrilled to be investing in this state-of-the-art infrastructure," said Mike Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Bend Park. "The new systems from Avid and Sony will allow us to provide fans with an unparalleled viewing experience both at the stadium and through our remote broadcasts." The installation includes Avid's Nexis IP Core platform and Sony's HDC-4300 4K production switcher. ## Precision Technology for Seamless Broadcasting The Nexis IP Core platform by Avid is a high-performance, IP-based broadcast infrastructure that provides flexibility and scalability. It supports seamless integration with other systems, including graphics, audio, and control surfaces. Additionally, the Sony HDC-4300 4K production switcher offers enhanced video quality with support for HDR formats. "The Nexis platform's ability to handle a wide range of workflows will be invaluable as we continue to expand our broadcast capabilities," noted Linda Chen, Head of Technical Operations at Bend Park. "Coupled with the HDC-4300, we can deliver stunning visuals that captivate audiences whether they are in the stands or watching from home." ## Investment in Innovation The project is a significant investment for Bend Park, aiming to keep up with the evolving demands of sports broadcasting. With an estimated budget of $5 million, this upgrade represents over 30% of the stadium's annual technology expenditure. The installation also includes multiple HD cameras, robotic camera systems from JVC, and advanced lighting solutions. ## Looking Forward Bend Park is poised to set new standards for live production in collegiate sports with these enhancements. "We are excited about the future," Johnson added. "These upgrades will not only enhance our current operations but also provide a solid foundation for technological advancements as they continue to evolve." As fans eagerly await the first broadcasts using this new infrastructure, Bend Park remains committed to delivering exceptional experiences.
